Medicare covers 100% of Home Health care costs for eligible patients. A patient is eligible if they have Medicare as their primary insurance, are at least sixty-five or have Medicare benefits, and are home bound. A representative from any home health care company can help determine the eligibility of you or your loved one.

Once eligibility is established, a great number of home health care resources become available to you in the comfort of your own home. Keep in mind that Medicare will provide the following services in your home at no cost to you.

Skilled Nursing

Millcreek’s team of Registered Nurses can visit patients at home as often as is medically necessary—including the weekends and evenings. An experienced Registered Nurse is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to meet your home health care needs. Nurses will asses all areas of your health to create a personalized home care plan to address chronic and new health issues, and integrate other therapists as needed to provide comprehensive, high quality care. Skilled Nursing is 100% covered by Medicare.

Personal Care

As part of your home health care, our skilled core of Certified Nurse Assistants can provide professional personal care when patients are unable to safely or comfortably provide it themselves. Personal care includes help with bathing, hygiene related activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation and feeding, assistance with mobility in the home, incontinent and catheter care, medication reminders and many other daily activities. Millcreek’s aides are trained to respectfully and professionally provide the most intimate of care when and how patients need it most. When our home health aides work under the direction of Nurses and Physical therapists to provide care, it is 100% covered by Medicare.

Physical & Occupational Therapy

Millcreek’s licensed Physical Therapist’s assess patients develop individualized plans to help patients achieve goals to improve mobility, comfort and safety through prescribed, beneficial exercises. Patients benefit from improved range of motion, safer standing, sitting and walking, and increased muscle strength for daily activities. Our Occupational Therapists compliment Nurses and Physical Therapists by adding safety solutions, like installing shower grab bars, to allow patients to safely stay in their homes. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy are 100% covered by Medicare.
